Neuromancer by William Gibson
Special commemorative edition
Been playing around with the idea of creating my own book cover for a while so I decided to create a speculative limited edition of William Gibson’s “Neuromancer”.
Known for popularising the Cyberpunk genre, Neuromancer is still seen as a sci-fi masterpiece and it’s the first novel to win the Nebula, Philip K.Dick and Hugo awards.
For my edition I wanted to focus on my illustration of the main character and showcase both the colourful and dystopian aspects of the novel, as well as implementing an 80’s aesthetic to hone back to the year the novel was first published. Here on the mockups of my design you can see a paperback limited edition that comes with a hard slipcase. The intention of this piece was to create a celebratory version of the novel, not just a normal trade paperback edition.
